Life At The USO |

|
Every employee and volunteer has a unique USO experience, but every one of us shares the same goal of providing a “home away from home” for our troops and their families. Dependent on the job you have and its location, either stateside or overseas, your “home away from home” may be vastly different than that of your co-workers!
You may be a Center Director in Southwest Asia and share living conditions similar to our deployed men and women. You may shower in community trailers, dust sand off your body at the end of every day, eat in the chow hall, or wake up to the sound of Muslim prayers coming from a Mosque in the distance.
Or perhaps you are a Programs Manager at the USO Center in Hawaii, passing the beautiful beach on your way to work every day, where fresh pineapples and palm trees provide the backdrop!
No matter the position or location, each employee and volunteer has a different story to tell and a distinctive experience to share. Regardless of the address of your “office” or the work environment, the common goal all USO employees and volunteers share is to provide exceptional quality service to the millions of brave men and women who visit our centers every year. Whether you walk to work on endless sand or ride on a crowded metro, life at the USO is about providing a million acts of kindness “until every one comes home.”
