USO Fort Riley
The new USO Fort Riley center is expected to open its doors to Fort Riley soldiers and families in Fall 2009. The new center will occupy space in the same building as the post's Arts and Crafts Center and Information, Ticketing and Registration Office, near the Burger King on Custer Hill. Providing USO's core programs and services to service members and their families, the new center will also feature a cyber café with free Internet and e-mail access, several computer workstations, a movie theatre, library and kitchen area. The entertainment area will feature numerous video gaming consoles, large screen television and comfortable living room-style seating.
USO El Paso
USO El Paso and the FirstLight Federal Credit Union are joining forces to build a brand new USO center at East Fort Bliss. The center will be a welcomed addition to Fort Bliss, which has seen a recent influx to the more than 118,000 troops who currently use USO services. The new 6,300 square foot facility will offer gaming consoles, pool tables and a surround-sound movie theater with more than 200 movies for visitors to enjoy. There is also a lending library, an Internet café and a small study area. All services are free to service members and their families.
