Serving our troops in traditional fixed facilities throughout its history, the USO took its services to a new level in 2007 with the Mobile USO program. Designed to support troops serving in remote and isolated areas throughout the U.S., these vehicles offer a comfortable place where service members can relax and connect online with family and friends during their downtime. Each Mobile USO houses laptops, refrigerators, microwaves, internal and external large screen televisions, video game consoles, Wi-Fi access and comfortable seating.
The Mobile USOs allows local communities and organizations to come together and show their support to service members with the “HELLO! From the Homefront” program. This program, designed specifically for the Mobile USOs, allows the general public to sign banners and videotape messages of support that are sent to service members serving in Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom.
