The USO and Trevor Romain Partnership

Promoting social & emotional fitness for kids... military kids

Together, the USO and The Trevor Romain Company are working hard to reach out and support the millions of military children around the world to help them deal with the stresses of military life. This partnership includes the following elements:

The Trevor Romain Memory Box is customized by the Trevor Romain Foundation to meet a child’s specific needs when they are dealing with the loss of a family member. It contains educational and comforting resources, including:
• An Award-winning book, What On Earth Do You Do When Someone Dies?
• A journal for self-expression with writing prompts and original artwork by Trevor Romain
Coco™, a plush animal offering comfort and companionship
• A letter from Coco and set of colored pencils
• An insightful booklet for caregivers, Helping Children Cope With Loss

These items are housed in a personal memory box to protect the child’s treasured keepsakes.

As part of the Operation Enduring Care program, the USO distributes the Trevor Romain Memory Boxes at military medical facilities and at Dover Air Base, Del. To request a Trevor Romain Memory Box for a child who has lost a loved one in the military, click here.
