Vice President, Controller
Kristine Shumack joined the USO in 2006. Prior to being promoted to Vice President, Controller, she served as Director of Finance. As Vice President, Controller, she leads and directs the USO financial operations, including external and internal financial reporting, worldwide accounting operations, and budget management functions.
Prior to joining the USO, Ms. Shumack spent over eight years in the public accounting arena providing assurance and business advisory services, where she planned and executed financial statement audits and internal control reviews, oversaw monthly close processes and analyzed operational results, and represented firms at client board of directors meetings. Her clients included not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, and private and public companies.
She has public accounting experience from PricewaterhouseCoopers and internal audit experience from PepsiCo.
She is a certified public accountant, with a BBA in accountancy from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She is a member of the Virginia Society for Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
