Vice President, Operations Southwest Asia
Gary Bibeau joined the USO July 2009 as the vice president of Southwest Asia Operations. He is responsible for the development and implementation of USO programs and services provided to military personnel throughout the region. He oversees operations at the USO facilities in Afghanistan, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar.
The Wyoming, Minn. native joins the USO with more than 15 years experience overseeing the delivery and management of professional services and support throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Prior to joining the USO, he was vice president of services and support for McAfee, Inc.’s Network Security Business Unit. He spent 13 years as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring as commanding officer of the first Target Acquisition Battery fielded in the 1st Marine Division. While in the Marine Corps, Bibeau drafted and implemented operating procedures for complex electrical systems and provided logistical support operations to keep an artillery battery operation and on mission.
Bibeau holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering (communications engineering) from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, Calif. and a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.
